Motorsport Weather Seal Yellow Electrical Connector Set – General Wiring

These yellow weather seal connectors are commonly found in factory/purpose built competition cars.

A lot of race car manufacturers (such as Ginetta and Radical) will use these in several places on the vehicle.

These connectors offer a cost effective, efficient way of joining wires.

On a competition car there will be several wired connections which will be regularly disconnected and reconnected. Crimp connectors are not ideal in this instance as they are not designed (even a spade) to be continuously disconnected and reconnected. They will develop slop over time and may result in a loose connection.

Weather seal connectors simplify this whole process. Having 4 different crimped wires can cause confusion when it comes to reconnecting, but with a 4 way plug (included) it can only go one way!

A perfect example application is a power supply plug for a Vbox. A simple power and ground in a single connector makes this infinitely easier and simpler.

These plugs offer a cheap alternative, to DTM/Auto Sport connectors whilst maintaining the functionality.
