Description

Chassis ride height is widely accepted as the most accurate method of measuring vehicle ride height, as the chassis provides a fixed and consistent reference point. For this reason, we also offer a dedicated chassis ride height measurement tool.

However, there are many real-world setup scenarios where measuring from the chassis simply isn’t possible or practical. A prime example is when setting bump-to-droop ratios, where the arch gap becomes the only viable method of accurately determining wheel position. On many vehicles, the wheel arch itself is a more integral, repeatable, and reliable reference point for ride height measurement. Not to mention the arch gap gives a secondary reference of ride height, in conjunction with chassis height, and can give much needed context for arch gaps.

This motorsport arch ride height gauge is designed to mount directly to the wheel bolts/nuts, providing a fast, repeatable, and highly accurate method of measuring arch gap. It is designed to fit any 5-stud wheel as standard (and can be adapted for 4-stud applications). The gauge locks securely over the wheel nuts/bolts and is supplied with three interchangeable nut cups to suit common sizes: 17mm, 19mm, and 22mm.

The mounting interface is not fixed, allowing the gauge to always be correctly oriented to the top of the arch regardless of wheel nut position. The gauge also features adjustable fore-and-aft movement to compensate for camber angle, ensuring accurate vertical measurement. This adjustment can be increased or reduced via the internal splined tension bolt, allowing the tool to be tuned precisely to the vehicle setup.

Designed for professional motorsport use, this tool delivers repeatability, accuracy, and speed—making it ideal for setup work, corner weighting, suspension development, and trackside adjustments.
