Vehicle Total Weight Service + Corner Weights
Ever been curious how much your vehicle weighs?
This service is designed for lightweight competition vehicles. The maximum capacity of our scales is 625kg a corner (2.5T total).
Unless you are totally sure your vehicle is below this, then please confirm as this may cause damage to our scales.
The vehicle is placed on our flat patch – a set of pads levelled perfectly flat to the ground, then once on the scales, a total weight and current corner weights can be noted. (Please note this service does not include adjusting corner weights.)
The total weight costs £50. The vehicle can either be brought to us or we can come to you for 0.25p per mile.[/show_more]
Solid Rear Axle Shimming Toe & Camber Alignment
From factory, solid rear axles will usually set (large) amount of toe in and a low camber angle.
Both of these things are not suited to a high performance vehicle and can often be the limiting factor in the vehicle.
This service allows for the rear toe and camber to be altered to a setting much more suited to a competition car, giving improved grip and feel.
Please note stub axle bolt size needs to be provided for the correct shims to be sourced.
The vehicle can either be brought to us, or we can come to you for 0.25p per mile.
This service costs £100 plus the cost of the shims.
Bump Steer/Toe Change Analysis and Correction
When lowering vehicles from their standard ride height/suspension travel range, undesirable toe change can be introduced. This may cause the vehicle to drive unpredictably with the dynamic toe changing corner to corner. Not to mention it may reach a non-linear point, where minor suspension travel can result in huge toe change.
Toe change is also a very valuable tuning tool most notably used in TCR where the more bump steer the better!
This service is initially an analysis service (this is £100), where the toe change is measured through the suspension’s travel and analysis on what improvements could be made.
From this point we can do additional adjustments/changes to dial in/out undesirable bump steer/toe change front or rear!
If you have any questions regarding this service please do not hesitate to contact us.
The vehicle can either be brought to us, or we can travel to you for £0.25p per mile.
Race Car Ride Height Analysis & Optimisation
Many championships will enforce a minimum ride height. Most people then automatically set their vehicle to this minimum. However, usually lowering a car has limited benefits. The centre of gravity may be lower but the roll moment is larger, meaning the vehicle rolls more.
This can also result in geometrically throwing things out of their respective windows. Camber and toe change for example may be undesirable at this minimum point.
This service is to help determine an ideal ride height geometrically. There will be an ideal point where all the curves peak. We will measure many different geometries through the suspensions travel, then after some analysis, an ideal point will be determined.
This service includes motion ratio curves, camber curves and toe curves (this is £295). If you want this to be taken further, we can offer deeper insight such as roll centres etc, please do not hesitate to ask.
Single Seater/Open Wheel Suspension Setups
Single seaters are very complex and sensitive vehicles to set up and if done incorrectly the results can be downright dangerous.
Even slight calibration discrepancies can upset the balance on such a vehicle. With our purpose made aluminium flat patch and yearly calibrated equipment this is not an issue.
We have extensive experience with single seaters from Formula Renaults to the very latest GB4 cars.
This service includes: ride heights, spring preloads, droop stops, corner weights (pushrod), roll bars, damper clicks, camber, castor and toe.
All of the above is £345. The vehicle can either be brought to us or we can travel to you for 0.25p per mile.
Turbocharger Rebuilds and Upgrades
The latest thing we offer is turbocharger rebuilds and upgrades.
There are many sub categories to this such as:
Fit and flow, where the actuator is replaced and calibrated on our flow bench.
Turbocharger variable geometry calibration
Turbocharger Rotor Dynamic Balancing
In terms of upgrades we offer:
Stage 1 – OE size performance billet compressor wheel, Upgrade bearings (where available), balanced to motorsport tolerance. – Gains typically are 5-10%

Stage 3 – As stage 2 but a larger compressor wheel again, larger Turbine wheel, upgrade actuator – Gains 25%+

Full Vehicle Setup - Ride Heights, Corner Weights, Camber, Castor Toe
Having your vehicle set up correctly can unlock lots of performance and confidence in the vehicle. In most cases we have found more lap time can be found with a thorough set up rather than increasing power
The service begins by setting up our flat patch, creating a perfectly level surface for all set up work to take place.
Once set up, we then do a full set down on the vehicle, recording every measurement in its current setting. (This will all be recorded in a spreadsheet you will receive once the vehicle has been set up)
Once set down has been completed, we then move on to ride heights/corner weights. Ride heights will be set to an optimal point for performance, then the corner weights will be set.
We can only adjust what we can adjust- if your vehicle has limited adjusters we may not be able to meet desired settings. Please make sure all adjusters on the vehicle are free/moving.
Our prices vary depending on your vehicle.
If your vehicle has a solid rear axle with no adjustment on the rear then this service is £225 (we do also offer rear axle shimming)
If your vehicle has full adjustment front and rear this service is £295.

Spring Rate/Stiffness Testing
As we have found out the hard way there are very few places in England, never mind the North West which do spring rate testing. Knowing your spring rate/stiffness is very important as it gives you a reference on what springs to go for.
If you know your vehicle needs softer front springs then first you need to determine what they currently are (to give a starting point on what rate is softer!) For example if you’ve bought some new coilovers with a unknown spring rate, then knowing those spring rates are crucial. We can do most automotive springs. Either drop them with us or the springs can be posted out to us and tested.
We are continually working to improve the accuracy of our testing. Spring rate is given in Inch/Pounds and can easily be converted to whatever unit needed. Price is £10 per spring tested. Please feel free to get in touch with any queries or questions!
Fast Road Car Setups
If you take your vehicle to a tyre shop or alignment centre they will measure all the angles and set them to the manufacturers recommendations. These manufacturers settings have one goal and one goal only, to get as low and even tyre wear as possible. As you may imagine these settings are not optimal for performance and with our fast road set up it can completely change the way your vehicle drives.
Something we began offering recently is our race/track car set ups. When you bring your race/track/rally car to us, we set it up specifically for track use. This has become very popular, hence we are now offering our setups for fast road cars at a more affordable price. All we ask is that the vehicles adjusters are free (not all seized and rusted).

Vehicle Corner Weighting
We recently acquired some new corner weight scales and are now taking clients for vehicle corner weighting.
Corner weighting can totally transform the way your vehicle drives and handles. This is the art of balancing the weight of each corner of a vehicle. This helps to balance the car perfectly. If you imagine when cornering, the weight will transfer to one side. If the weights are different side to side, a different amount of weight will transfer, resulting in inconsistent handling characteristics. This is why it is crucial they are balanced.
Our new corner weight pads are rated for a total of 3.5 tonne meaning chances are we will be able to corner weight your vehicle.

A print out of the vehicles total weights, corner weights, percentages etc will be provided upon completion…
We also offer many more suspension setups such as:
– Camber
– Caster
– Alignments
– Bump Steer
– Wheel rate etc.
